HP Chromebox G2 Mini Desktop Computer

Want to enjoy Google’s ecosystem but don’t want to be on your phone or tablet? Then consider the HP Chromebox G2. This compact desktop computer can serve as your main system or as an HTPC, with optional VESA mounting, putting your SmartTV to better use than for just watching Hulu and Netflix. It’s available in multiple configurations, ranging from a Celeron processor to a Core i7, 4GB to 16GB of RAM, and up to 64GB of storage. At its base configuration, the Chromebox G2 is well suited for conquering everyday tasks and simple entertainment, thanks to Google Chrome app support and access to thousands of apps on the Chrome web app store. It goes without saying that users who are planning on tackling more processing-intensive tasks should go for the Core i7 model.

HP Chromebox G2 Mini Desktop Computer

As with all Chrome-related devices, you’ll also get 100GB of Google Drive Cloud storage, since space is usually limited. Aside from its video-out port(s), it’s also equipped with Gigabit Ethernet LAN, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 connectivity, a USB Type-C port, an SD media card reader, and mic/headphone jacks. Setup is easy, as well. Once it’s out of the box, connect its power cable, pair it with a TV or monitor (or both) via HDMI or DisplayPort (only on select models), and then log in using your Google account. If you’re already sporting a Chromebook, the HP Chromebox G2 is a good pairing for a more stationary computing solution.

Boost productivity in the office and school with the user-friendly Chromebox G2 Mini Desktop Computer from HP, which offers quick access to data and effortless collaboration with your team using the cloud-based G Suite for business and Android applications. It’s powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Celeron 3865U Dual-Core processor, 4GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM, and integrated Intel HD graphics. Like most Chrome OS-based systems, storage space is limited, so the Chromebox G2 is only equipped with a 32GB M.2 SATA SSD. Should you need more space, you can attach external storage solutions using its three USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, and a microSD card reader. Storage can further expanded using a USB Type-C port, which serves as a power connector, a charging port, and supports 4K display connectivity. Other integrated features include an HDMI 1.4b port, which supports 4K video at 30 Hz, Gigabit Ethernet, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.2, and a 3.5mm headset jack.

Lean and Light Rounded Design

Powerful Performance
Tackle work and school projects by multitasking with a 1.8 GHz Intel Celeron 3865U Dual Core processor, 4GBGB of 2400 MHz DDR4 memory, and Android apps.
Easy Setup
Remote management features make it easy to configure the HP Chromebox as a virtual desktop, a kiosk, or use it for digital signage in schools and businesses.
Universal Connectivity and Charging with USB Type-C
Use the USB Type-C-C port to charge your HP Chromebox and accessories, connect to an optional HP USB Type-C Dock for port and device connectivity, or up to two optional 4K displays with USB Type-C connectivity for large-screen productivity.
Chrome OS
Using Linux as a base, Google designed Chrome OS to work exclusively with web applications. The user interface takes a minimalist approach, which greatly resembles the Google Chrome web browser. Chrome OS was built for people who spend a majority, if not all, of their time on the computer connected to the internet. The only application that comes installed on Chrome OS is a special Google Chrome web browser with an integrated media player and file manager. All other applications are accessed by adding apps from the Google Chrome Web Store. Since Chrome OS relies entirely on Google’s web apps and access to Google’s services, it is highly recommended that you connect to the internet to optimize your Chrome OS experience.
